Website delivery and content delivery network

This website is delivered via the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. On every request, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the file requested, the volume of data transferred, the referring page, and details about your browser and operating system.

This processing is strictly necessary in order to display the content to you at all. It also serves the stability and security of the site, in particular the defence against automated attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of this website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare.

We set exactly one cookie of our own: consent-settings stores your decision on whether optional services may be loaded, for 31 days. Without it we would have to ask you again on every page view. The legal basis for this storage is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as the cookie is strictly necessary to act on your choice.

All other cookies are set only if you give your explicit consent in the consent banner. As long as you have not consented, no service requiring consent is loaded.

You can change your choice at any time: the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer reopens the selection dialog.

Audience measurement with Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. It records the pages you visit, the referring page, browser and operating system type, country of origin, and technical page-load performance metrics.

The service sets no cookies, stores no identifiers on your device, and builds no cross-device or cross-site profiles. Your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons but is not stored by Cloudflare and is not used to recognise you. We are unable to link the resulting statistics to you personally.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a privacy-preserving statistical analysis of how our website is used, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As no access to your device takes place, no consent under Section 25 TDDDG is required. You may object to this processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.

Web analytics with Google Analytics

If you have given your consent in the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

In that case Google Analytics sets cookies on your device that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The data processed includes the pages you visit, time spent on the site, the referring page, details about your browser, operating system and approximate location, as well as a randomly generated user identifier. The cookies _ga and _ga_<container ID> each have a lifetime of two years.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. The legal basis is solely your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG. Without your consent the service is not loaded.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, click “Cookie settings” in the page footer and change your choice. Withdrawing is therefore just as easy as giving consent. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Web fonts

The fonts used on this website are served exclusively from our own server. No connection to Google or any other font provider is made when you access our pages, and no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

Contacting us

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide — such as your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message — solely in order to handle your enquiry. We do not operate a contact form.

Our email inbox is operated via Google Workspace, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your message is stored there. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Scheduling a call

To arrange calls we use the appointment booking feature of Google Calendar, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The booking page is not embedded in our website. You are only redirected to a page operated by Google once you click one of the “Schedule a call” buttons. Until that click, no connection to Google is established and no data is transmitted to Google.

If you book an appointment there, we process the data you provide — first and last name, email address, the selected time slot and anything you choose to add in the optional field “Worum geht es?” (“What is it about?”) — in order to prepare and hold the call. The appointment is stored in our calendar; both you and we receive a confirmation by email. Google’s own privacy notice applies additionally to your visit to the booking page.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the appointment is arranged at your request and with a view to entering into a contract. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google.

You are under no obligation to use the booking page. You may instead contact us informally by email or telephone at any time; the contact details are in our imprint.

Recipients and transfers to third countries

We disclose personal data only to the service providers named in this policy, who act as processors on our behalf. These are Cloudflare, Inc. for the delivery of the website, Google Ireland Limited for our email inbox and for scheduling calls, and — solely where you have consented — Google for Google Analytics.

In all cases, data may be transferred to the USA. Both Cloudflare and Google are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For transfers to certified organisations, an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR is in place. In addition, both providers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

Retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. Connection data used to deliver the website is deleted or anonymised after a short period. For Cloudflare Web Analytics, measurement data is retained unsampled for seven days and aggregated thereafter; statistics for the past six months are available to us in the dashboard. Correspondence and appointment data are deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless commercial or tax retention obligations require otherwise.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.

Linked third-party websites

This privacy policy applies to the website briskybytes.de and not to any linked third-party websites. Their operators are solely responsible for their content and data processing.
